Will your Roku channel be returning also? If you haven’t even considered it, please do.

    • Hi Jonathan,
We have no plans to resume our own Roku channel right now. We don’t have a good way to keep it updated. You can watch the shows on the Blip.Tv roku channel, and new Roku3 has the ability to stream YouTube directly, as well.

      • Jonathan says:

Installed the Blip.TV channel and found the show. I’ll be on the look out for you and the team to change your minds on a dedicated Roku channel πŸ™‚ . Thanks for the response and welcome back to my TV screen.

  8. Thank goodness your back!! I thought I was going to go into a deep dark depression just waiting for you to get better! I love your videos and your down to earth beer drinking/cussing attitude girl! You make cooking what it should be…fun and relaxing! You have one great sense of humor too! Whew…now that’s settled I’m going to go have a welcome back Hilah beer so… Cheers to you, Hilah and here’s a big hug for ya’ too!

    • Cheers, Judy! Yes, I’m back and ready to rock and roll. Thank you for writing! Let me know if you have any recipe requests for this year!

  9. Rhea Cary says:

Love seeing you back. Sure missed you believe it or not your cheerie personality really brings peoples spirits up. And cooking along with you on your videos really makes my day. Best wishes and a very happy New 2014 Year for you and yours.
Love and the best from myself and my wife.

    • Thanks so much, Rhea. It is good to hear the videos cheer people up. πŸ™‚ Wish the same to you and your wife for 2014: may it be kick ass!

  10. Hey– I’m a single 23y/o guy living on his own so I never cared much for cooking. It wasn’t worth the effort to cook just for myself so most nights I was just throwing some veggies in a pan & calling that dinner. But a few days ago, I happened to find your videos on youtube. I LOVE the energy and attitude that you bring to cooking & your videos have convinced me to start cooking more for myself (real stuff, not just stir fry 5 nights a week). So thank you for that! I’ve already purchased your Lean to Cook book & hope I can get some fundamentals down!

Terribly sorry to read the story behind your break. I’m a medical student & recently had a patient that had a similar experience. I hope you are healthy and well, in both body & mind.

    • Oh hell to the yeah, Angad. Your note makes me so so happy. I’m glad you found me! Thanks for buying my book. πŸ™‚ I think you will enjoy it.

And thank you for your concern. I’m doing WAY better now and glad to be back making videos.

      • Just saw your Yellowstone s’mores video. Any chance you could tell me the name of the accommodations/cabins where y’all stayed? I’m currently trying to plan a national park trip & those looked nice.

        • Hi again! It was the Explorer Cabins http://www.visityellowstonepark.com/explorer-cabins-at-yellowstone.aspx
          They were great.

          • Thank you!!

          • Hey again! I made your breakfast enchiladas recipe and it was delicious. Thank you so much.

Sorry to badger you, but a quick question. I want to make some homemade taco seasoning with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, etc. and I have a question about the chili powder: I have some that I got from an Indian store that is just called “chili powder extra hot” and the ingredients just say “chili powder.” Is that going to work for the taco seasoning? Or does the Indian chili powder use a different type of chili that won’t taste good in Mexican food?

Also, forgetting the Indian stuff altogether, what type of chili powder would you recommend for taco seasoning? Ancho? Chipotle? Cayenne?

            Thanks πŸ™‚

          • The chili powder you got is probably similar to cayenne pepper powder, I’m guessing. It will work if you want a hot mixture, but you’re right that some ancho chili powder would give it a more complex flavor. You should be able to find that in most large grocery stores and use a combination of it with the “extra hot”.

  11. So glad you are back!! We have missed you!

  12. You are as FUNNY as anyone! I am so glad I found you on here πŸ™‚
