You are so right about those tacos. It is pretty stupid calling them “street tacos”. It must be a tough job always trying to constantly come up with new concepts. I’ve love to be a fly on the wall in those meetings.
Haha! Great point, Kendra. When you imagine the meetings, it’s also really easy to imagine an SNL sketch, right?
Why yes, Sweet Hilah, it is easy to imagine an SNL sketch:

Of course, there’s always Taco Hell to pay, too:

Hello! I found your YouTube channel a couple of months back, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I love how your recipes are simple enough to follow, but elegant enough to impress, and the energy and spontaneity with which you present is awesome. A large part of what makes a cooking show enjoyable is the charisma of the host, and you definitely possess the charm many “professional” cooks on those lame cooking TV channels lack. Don’t ever quit making videos!
Thank you so much, Liz! I’m happy you like the recipes. And moi.
The name “Street Taco” is the fast food industry’s acknowledgement of being bitch-slapped by real tacos made by poor people who care. I’ve only had one iteration. Armed with a coupon, a short time frame for lunch, and chance location I had the Carl’s “street tacos” (two 4″ tortillas with meat, onion, cilantro, salsa, you know the drill), pretty bad. I do not know why my food desires are not identified and catered to by our largest food corporations. It must be that the rest of you are satisfied with your soylent green. Fight on Hilah!
Whoa! Carl’s Jr has street tacos, too?! That’s taking this street taco take-over to a whole new level! Please tell me they were at least on corn tortillas?
Yes, they were on corn tortillas, not that it mattered.
