    Hi Hilah,
I really enjoyed your show. I came upon it by mistake just messing around with my Roku channels. Netflix was down. I must say I became a regular simply because it is a cooking for dummies show and I must confess I am a dummy in this department =) I liked the rice pilaf recipe. I just can’t stress enough how important is for me the fact that you keep it simple. Man, when I realized you only used a bay leaf I thought, I surely can do this! I also liked the spring roll, since I decided to become vegetarian recently. That’s another “I can do” recipe. I was watching today the bread making episode. My mom makes bread every week and she had tried in vain to show me how simple it is. Forget it. I hope you do more vegetarian recipes in your shows. The breakfast thing I have down packed, that’s pretty much what I live off =)
Keep it up, I’ll keep watching. 3 episodes in 10 hours, I think that would make me a follower =)

    • Hilah Cooking on June 25, 2010 at 2:50 am

Hi Nicoleta! This is such great news! I’m really glad you found our show and that you are getting so much use from it. I will certainly keep vegetarians in mind. Please let me know what other episodes you find especially helpful or if you have any suggestions. Thanks for writing!

Cool stuff. But I am wondering. . . are you that same actress chick who posted that video (on youtube) about someone farting in a grocery store?

hi hilah, i had no idea you were so talented. i thought you were just a cute chef. i have a question, do you have any ideas on what i can do with leftover mashed potatos? and by the way, i love your cooking videos. keep up the good work
    jim

    • Hilah Cooking on March 1, 2011 at 1:36 pm

Hi Jim! Thanks for writing! A couple things I do with leftover mashed potatoes is use them on shepherd’s pie or put them in salmon croquettes, like just canned or cooked salmon, egg, breadcrumbs, potatoes, and whatever seasonings you want. Glad you like the videos.

  16. Dewey Stewart on March 15, 2011 at 10:24 pm

Ok, so I made the chili and it was really simple and really good. Thanks. Now, I don’t think my picky 6 year old daughter will go anywhere near it. All she seems to eat are chicken nuggets. Anyway, your show is amazing. I hope you continue because I think there are a lot of dishes in you and you may be holding out on us. Don’t…..we’re junkies! Next on my list, tortillas and peach cobbler. Once I get some boxed wine in me anything is possible. I’ve never been able to make respectable fried chicken. As a southern girl you must know how. I also like that Hot As Shits video. If I had a radio show, I’d spin it and promote it. Only if……Oh yeah, and I saw the zombie boob. You said it was there so I felt obligated as a dude to check it out. I had no choice. Thanks.
    Dewey from MD

    • Hilah Cooking on March 16, 2011 at 5:32 pm

Yay, Dewey! I’m glad you saw the zombie boob – gross, right? Fried chicken is on the list, my man! Lemme know how the tortillas and cobbler go.

Hey Hilah, I live in Sao Paulo, the most cosmopolitan city in Brazil and, when it comes to food, you can find a bit of every state and every country in the world. I am a big fan of cooking podcasts BUT when I saw your Hilah Cooking Show… Oh lord of all skillets.. it is awesome and so funny, just the way cooking should be. So, the new trend here in Brazil is making cheesecakes, cupcakes and muffings (I think this is one more item of those thing that America influenced us) so I would really appreciate if you could make those for me and my fellas. Thanks a bunch.

    • Hilah Cooking on March 28, 2011 at 1:23 pm

      Wesley!
Totally agree that cooking ought to be awesome and funny. And super fun. I like it that you like it! 😉
Cheesecake, cupcakes and muffins are all great ideas. It’ll be a little bit, but I’ll definitely hook you and your fellas up!
      Thanks a bunch for writing!

  21. Wesley on April 18, 2011 at 10:04 pm

Hey Hilah!!! Wesley from Brazil again. I just wanted to say Corndogs rule my neighborhood now kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! I did it once and everybody here just loved it! Second thing is that now I know why I got so gobsmacked when I saw you for the first time in video: you look exactly like Tilda Swinton, the actress!!! I do not if anyone ever told you that but take it as the most important compliment of you l-i-f-e hehe. You both share a very exquisite expression and strangeness in your faces that just make you 2 look unique. Now you will always make part of my list of “The Most F$%$* Beautiful Women in the Galaxy”. Great big hugs and just so you can know I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN MY CUPCAKES AND/OR MUFFIN (it can be vegan too. love that!)

    • Hilah Cooking on April 19, 2011 at 7:31 am

      WESLEY!!!
I want to come to Brazil. I will bring you cupcakes! MAKE IT HAPPEN. 😉

I Love it. The Smashing In Blue is pretty sweet also. Hilah I have been making your recipes and my wife and I like them a lot. This Sunday (Easter), I will be making your Momma’s Peach Cobbler. I got your last news letter and all I have to say on that is – been there and done that, it all gets better after the first marriage. So hang in there ( I know you will).
