Episode Five of 2 Shots 1 Take! Long Island Iced tea with Rachel of Rachel’s English.

Long Island Iced Teas (or LIIT) have a reputation for being the kind of drink that only Ivy League kids in the 1980s and sad, broken, alcoholic, bankers’ wives after-they-take-their-kids-to-school drink. But that is an unnecessarily complicated way of denigrating such a wonderful drink as this. LIIT has a noble heritage that dates back to Prohibition, or the 70’s depending on whom you choose to believe. Regardless, I think you should try one. And I do mean ONE. These are incredibly easy to drink without skipping a beat. Be careful.

“Sew each other’s butt closed” Hahaha! Too funny!! I LOVE LIIT’s. Next time I have like $100 I don’t need, I will buy all the different liquors to go in them. Of course, they will last me for months, so if you divide that….. Then, it will be like ‘cooking with wine,’ even using the wine as an ingredient. But it will be LIIT, so not a very good ingredient. No alternative but to drink a couple of them.

Haha! I know, we spent the majority of our “props” budget on booze. I was actually surprised, though, that Trader Joe’s had good prices on alcohol at least!

I want to get drunk with you and discuss The Disney Afternoon.

And play with gerbils. But not in the way you’re apparently used to.

ANYwho, I bought your book, “HOW TO COOK” – Does there happen to be an eBook version of it I can download for convenience?

    Love your style.
