I have subscribed to your website but am so from the old school, don’t know where to go from here. I have six children (all adults now) and just had my first grand-baby. Had five of my children back-to-back so cooking was always fast and repetitive. Didn’t know how to cook at all when I met my husband but tried to fake it. I would like to see your videos from the beginning. You give me tips on cooking, I will give you very experienced tips on baby.

Congrats on the baby. My wife and I enjoy the videos and love to cook, and eat… And love the tex mex specialities. With two kids at home we cook dinners most nights (you do get some of your life back) and it is fun to see new twists on some of our tried and true dishes – soft tacos are a staple.

For what it is worth, we took the baby weight challenge as a team effort. At the time that our daughter was born we decided that both of us would take off some pounds. It was great when you have a teammate to keep you honest. I always thought that diet was a four letter word, but we both felt a lot better once we were lighter. To be honest, my wife never really needed to lose any, but it did me some good 🙂

We used the gi diet to change what we ate – it worked pretty well, especially as neither of us is that fond of jogging either 😉

Love your and Chris’ work and best wishes for 2015.

      Thank you, Fraser!

Chris and I are both trying to eat better (mostly just by cutting our sugar and most carbs) and encourage each other’s daily exercise, even if it’s just walking the dogs. Fortunately, our dogs are very very annoying when they don’t get their walks so we often take them just to get them to stop whining 😉 I also got an app for the “7 minute workout” that counts the seconds for you. Honestly, it’s the fact that it’s only 7 minutes that keeps me doing it. Like, if I can’t manage to find 7 consecutive minutes to exercise every day, I’m just being lazy.

I’ll have to find that 7 minute workout fur shure. I’m an empty nester and still seem to always make enough food for the entire family. So I’m eating enough food for the entire family. And I’m lazy. So this sounds fab for me! Thanks for all your great tips and recipes lil mama!

Haha! Yes, check it out, Linda. It’s a pretty intense 7 minutes, but it’s still only 7 minutes!

Congratulations on your beautiful new addition…sweet Flint. Good name. Like what you did to prepare your furry pets for the baby. Enjoy your new adventure…it passes sooooo quickly.

Thanks, Donna. Whatever we did must have worked well, because the dogs and baby get along great now. It’s so cute. 🙂
