I am so gonna send you some British snacks to try, and some other weird stuff from the local Asian shops which I can’t even tell what they are cos I can’t read Chinese/Japanese/Korean/whatever. They have a million different tubs of savoury nibbles, some of them I have tried and I know you will like them as long as you are not allergic to MSG? I hope not, or if you just don’t like it, I won’t send them. I might be able to find some other stuff for Flint as well, with no artificial gunk in them. I know a really good brand of British sweets already, and I would love to know what you think of them.

Yay! Expect a box of Frazzles, Skips, Hula Hoops, Nik Naks and Twiglets in the next couple of weeks, with some other stuff too. I’m pretty sure Chris will like them too. Also, bamboo ash covered peanuts anyone? That’s just for starters.

Hello Hilah, been looking all over for that special candy, but here in Montréal, they consider special just because they put maple syrup in it…yeah..don’t think so..you deserve more…so i finally found something just for you…should send it in a week..hope you will like it…bye the way, you and your husband are doing a great job at cracking me up…you seem to have so much fun…what a way to live…you deserve it so much…

BTW Haila, I just watched the video where Jean-Marc sent you Squish candies. He referenced Beavertails and Poutin (pronounced ‘poo-teen) and I can vouch for how amazing they are. Beavertails are like nothing I’ve ever had before, I’ve a hot zeppoli-like loaf pastry topped with various goodies (I frankly adore the Quebecois), if you’re ever in Colorado I think there’s a shop there somewhere.
As for poutin, basically think “Disco Fries” but with cheese curds instead of melted cheese. Its the bees knees!
Next time I’m in Quebec I’m gonna have to look for those Squish candies, I just love me some gummy candy!

I live in Asheville, NC which has been named Beer City USA for several years in a row because we have a ton of amazing breweries here. Would it be cool if I sent you beer? I’m not completely sure what the legalities are in shipping alcohol to where you are. But it would be an awesome chance for me to visit a few different breweries here and have them help me pick the best Asheville has to offer to send you!

I’d love to send you my favorite snack, it’s cinnamon toasted almonds. Sounds pretty common, but there’s a grocery store chain here in the southeast called Publix and their in store version is delicious! I tried a commercially produced version of cinnamon toasted almonds, and was unimpressed. These are very caramel-y in addition to the cinnamon. Please let me know when you are accepting new submissions!

A couple months ago I watched your butternut squash soup episode and I made it for my wife. She absolutely loved it! I also noticed that you had a baby not long ago and wanted to say congrats. My wife is an aspiring children’s book author and her second book is imminent. My four kids love her books and I’m sure your little one would as well. I was wondering if I could send you both copies?
